ANA GUIJARRO. PIANO

Natural de Madrid, se forma en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música con Antonio Lucas Moreno y muy especialmente con Carmen Díez Martín, quien ejercerá una notable influencia a lo largo de su carrera. Becada por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, prosigue cursos de perfeccionamiento en Roma con Guido Agosti, y en París con Marian Kybicki, en L’Ecole Normale de Musique, donde es laureada en 1981 con el Diplôme Supérieur d’exécution, máxima calificación que dicha institución otorga, así como un Premio Especial a la mejor interpretación de Chopin.
Laureada en diversos Concursos Nacionales e Internacionales, merece especial mención el Diploma de Honor que le fue concedido en el X Concurso Internacional Chopin, Varsovia 1980. Además de numerosos recitales por toda España,ha actuado en ciudades europeas de Inglaterra, Francia, Austria, Italia, Polonia, Portugal, así como en EE.UU. y Canadá.
Ha sido invitada para actuar como solista con la Orquesta Nacional de Oporto, Montréal Chamber Players, London Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Ciudad de Málaga, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquesta Clásica de la Laguna, Orquesta de Córdoba...Ha actuado bajo la batuta de Juan Luis Pérez, José Luis Temes, Miguel Groba, Yuri Simonov, Collin Metters, Vjekoslav Sutej, Ernest Martínez Izquierdo, Leo Brower, Jeffrey Schindler...

Ana Guijarro was born in Madrid, where she studied with A. Lucas Moreno and Carmen Díez Martín. She pursued studies with Guido Agosti and she settled Paris in 1978, where she was admitted in the class of Marian Rybicki, pupil of Z. Drewiecki, heir of Paderewski´s School. In 1990 she meets Frédéric Gevers, who contributes to an unlimited deepening of her musical and pianistic skills.
She has performed in distinguished concert´s hall throughout the world and has worked with leading including Leo Brower, Jeffrey Schindler, Collin Metters, Max Bragado, Viekoslav Sutej, Ernst Martínez Izquierdo, Yuri Simonov, M. Groba, Pedro Halffter, Juan Luis Pérez and José Luis Temes, among others.
The recordings she has released devoted to the complete works of Manuel Castillo have received critical acclaim. She has recorded in Arsis the Alfonso Romero´s 3º Piano Concerto with Jeffrey Schindler and the London Symphony orchestra
Prize winner in great international piano competition, such as Diploma at F. Chopin International (Warsaw, 1980)
In 1991 made her debut at Wigmore Hall in London together the cellist Gregory Walmsley.
She has played in all Europe and the most important cities in USA and Canada.
Since 1983 she has devoted herself to her students. She enjoys a great reputation presenting master classes and is often a jury member at the most important international piano competition.
She is currently Piano Professor at Madrid Real Conservatorio Superior de Música, and the Principal of the School from 2014.
